If you are a determined individual and want to learn from the best eye care professionals in the area, then we want to hear from you!Ophthalmic Technician Responsibilities:Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leavePractice urgency at all times with patient's time, as well as doctor's time and scheduleVerify patient information by interviewing patientRecords medical history, current medications, and confirms purpose of visitChecks condition of patient's eyes by observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movementsRequired skills include dilation, refraction, pressures, and performing a variety of diagnostic tests including but not limited to; visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor and topographyDemonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms and ocular medicationsGeneral office duties and cleaning to be assigned by managerRequirements:Ophthalmic Technician Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Must possess strong computer skillsOne-year related experience preferredCOA or COT certification preferred but will consider otherwise qualified candidates with less experienceWe understand the importance of work-life balance and want our team members to thrive personally and professionally.
